My network adapters... Where did they go?

After successfully using the Internet from my home pc today, the network adapters are inexplicably gone. I still have Internet access but my desktop won't work for some reason. I'm using windows 7... How can I get my adapters back?

Thanks

go to your device manager, does it show that your network adapter is functioning properly?
