On a MacBook Pro, how do you get that bar at the bottom of your screen to remain there at all times.

At the moment...it only comes up when I put my cursor there...and is disappears when I remove it.

Thanks.

System Preferences -> Dock -> Uncheck "Automatically hide and show the dock"

System preferences is the little gear looking icon on the dock or you can get to it clicking the apple in the upper left corner and selecting System Preferences.

Another way is to put your cursor over the potion of the dock that has the divider lines, right click (two finger click) and turn off hiding.

Be aware of the keyboard shortcut that you may inadvertantly trigger that toggles the showing and hiding of the dock:

Command-Option-D

re: On a MacBook Pro, how do you get bar at the bottom of your screen to remain there?

Just got my Macbook back in September and I love it.

The last few times I've turned it on, I've seen some window pop up really quick and can never see what it says. Is there a way to run a computer check up to make sure everything is running as it should be?

Check System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Items

There you may find an app that you have launching at login/boot.
