Question about Windows ME

If one has lost their serial number for the ME upgrade, how would one go about getting a replacement one?

You can always call MS and ask for one I guess, but they'll have to make sure you have the actual version and not a downloaded one. But then again, if it was a downloaded one, you would probably go online or on IRC or something and get one fairly easily (hint, hint).

Well, you could contact microsoft, they would probably hook you up. That would probably be a pain in the ass however, long distance charges and such, especially for what is nothing more than a big fix. Or you could try doing a search for random code such as "[piracy tip removed]" or as a link:

For future reference, piracy is something we don't advocate at DVD Talk. This may or may not have been one of those cases, but beware of this in the future.

In any case, cpgator has gotten what he was looking for, so I'm closing this thread.
