...back up the data on my hard drive? Using a Iomega zip drive or another hard drive? Maybe there is something else?

How much data (in MBs)? or do you mean the entire drive programs and all?

Buy a CD Recordable. CDR disks are cheap as hell you can get 50 for under 20 usually whats what I do. Cheap enough to throw a couple of them

Iomega ZIP drives are sort of like floppy drives-- low capacity, slow, expensive, proprietary dinosaurs. I agree with going for CD-R all the way.

ZIP= around 10 cents per MB
CD= around .03 to .06 cents per MB

So CD-Rs are only around 150 to 300 times cheaper per MB storage. :-)

A full back-up of my current HD on Zips would take more zips than backing up my first HD would have taken in floppies, but at ten times the cost!
