Recording radio digitally to my computer: how to set up scheduled recording?

I currently record my favorite radio shows to my hard drive and save them as MP3s. I run a line from the audio out on my radio to the audio in on my sound card and use Nero Wave Recorder to record the programs.

The main thing about the current set up is I HAVE to be home to record it...I can't set up a timer to record anything when I am away.

I have found freeware in the past that said I could do this, but program I found (I forget what it was called) didn't work as promised.

I looked into external digital recorders, such as PoGo, but it looks like more expense than it's worth. I have a way to record digitally...my computer...I don't see a need to buy excessive hardware to accomplish this if there is a program out there that allows me to set up recording times like a TiVo or a VCR.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be free ware...I wouldn't mind spending a few bucks on a program that allowed this. Even an updated version of Nero Wave Recorder would be great, if anybody knows of one that allows for setting up recording for when I am away.

Task Manager that's built into Windows can do the scheduling. Then you'd need a recording program that either automatically starts or can be started with passed parameters.

Audacity can be set up to record with its timer feature.

I use the program everyday and it's free.
