DVD player programs?

I used to have a program called MSI DVD which I loved. I got an MSI graphics card, but sadly the disc it included did not contain MSI DVD and since my old drives were wiped it is gone forever.

I need a new computer DVD playing program and I need it to be free. Of course, if anyone could tell me where I can get a new copy of MSI DVD, that'd be the best, but I was wondering what everyone else uses.

I don't like VLC for playing my DVDs. Generally I like Media Player Classic, since I can get rid of the Menu bar and stuff and just have a strip with the basic controls, the status bar above it, and the movie window, but I really need a player that allows you to internally adjust color/contrast without having to adjust my monitor all the time (I try to make the widescreen bars match with blacks in the movie, but this makes most movies too dark).

Any recommendations?

It might be helpful to name the model number and series of your graphics card.
