Question on WiFi issue with laptop.
I had to recently reinstall the XP with SP2 on my laptop after getting hit by a malware and all is working fine. The only thing I noticed though is that with my wireless connection, once I close the lid on the laptop and it goes to hibernate and when I bring it back up, the WiFi connection doesn't automatically reconnect like it used to. I can "Repair" the connection and I get my WiFi connectivity back again.
I can't imagine what I did differently to setup my connection to my router. Nothing on the Router side changed and on the laptop side, I simply needed to detect the network and input my key in.
Any ideas?

does your wireless card have a power management tab? I would check there first:
1. Open your network properties (where it shows all your network connections)
2. right click on the wireless connection and select "Properties"
3. In the General tab, click the "Configure" button next to your wireless card
4. In your wireless card properties, look for the "Power Management" tab (should be on the far right). If it's not there, i'm stuck. if it is there, go to step 5.
5. In the Power Management tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
