Adobe Acrobat Problem

I'm trying to convert a Word file to a pdf using Acrobat 7 Pro. I receive an error message:

An error occurred while creating a temporary file: Word was unable to write some of the embedded objects due to insufficent memory or disk space.

Any thoughts?

Have you checked how much free disk space you have?

Yep: 44.1GB on the desktop; 31.1GB on the laptop (I tried it on both). I didn't have any other open programs. There are five embedded equations in the document and my guess is that's causing the problem but I don't know if there's anything I can do about that.

You can also get that kind of error if there's some kind of write protection or access rights problem where the temp files are trying to write.
