How to Create cd cover from a scene from DVD?

hi.. anybody know video (DVD) software, where I can create a cd cover from a scene?

For instance.. I want to take a "snapshot" of a scene from a DVD and print it to use for a DVD/CD cover.

Thanks for any info

Use something like VLC to take a snapshot, then an image program to create the cover. Note: In high-quality print mode, a DVD snapshot will be 2"x2" at the most - if you blow it up to CD cover size, it will probably look pretty bad.

It seems like there would be a program that could take a higher resolution capture out there. What about a desktop screen capture program while you're playing the DVD full screen?

That doesn't work because video works on a different "layer" of the screen. I don't know what that means, it's just how it was explained to me here.

PowerDVD has an image capture feature that should provide higher-resolution images.
