Questions on USB 1.0/2.0

I have a friend who has a USB 2.0 drive. She wants to use it on an old PC but because the PC is so old, it is too slow for XP but she was told that she should upgrade to Windows Millenium by someone at a computer store. She is currently using Windows 98 My questions are...

1. If the old PC supports USB 1.0, will it still work, but just at a slower transfer speed?

2. Is USB 1.0 and USB 2.0 the same physical connector? i.e. will a USB 2.0 device fit into a USB 1.0 port on the PC?

3. Does Windows Millenium support USB 1.0?

4. Will she need to load any device drivers after upgrading to Windows Millenium or should the drivers be built into Millenium?

1) yes
2) yes
3) yes
4) ME supports USB automatically

You might want to try to squeeze Windows 2000 on there instead of ME. Light years better than that or 98.

Please don't give any money to anyone who'd tell you to install ME under any circumstance. Thanks.
