Motorola v400 ringtones... MIDI conversion?

I figured Tech would be the best place to ask this...

I have Cingular and a Motorola v400. I was wondering how I would go about using a MIDI I have on my computer as a ringtone for my phone.

My brother said I could email it to my phone, but that didn't work...

Anybody care to enlighten me?

Why use MIDI when you can use MP3s for ringtones on the V400? Just get a data cable and download the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools software and you'll be able to transfer over MIDI files and anything else you want to use as ringtones.

http://www.howardforums.com/ is a great resource for any cell phone technical questions you may have. They have an entire forum dedicated to Motorola phones. Tons of info on the V400 there.
