DVD-R Info

I am burning various things onto new DVDs (primarily old student films I did that I have on one DVD but want to make others). I have a Pioneer 106D "Superdrive" for my Mac, and the DVD-R's by Apple work fine, but I know there are cheaper DVD-R's out there (supermediastore.com has some that are $.58 a piece), but I'm not completely sure which will work with my burner. I guess it's a crapshoot from player to player, but is there an inexpensive DVD-R that is pretty reliable? The Apple's are okay, but at two bucks a pop, I think I can do better.

Any name brand discs should be ok. When you start using the real cheap ones, you start making a lot of coasters. You should be able to find some name brands cheaper than the Apple discs.........
Good luck!

I use Ritek 4x disks. Newegg has 50 packs for $45. I have never had one go bad after 200 plus and they have worked in every DVD player I have tried.

Add another vote for Ritek's here as well. Some of the best I've come across and quite inexpensive when bought in bulk. I've had very good experiences with BeAll's as well.
