WinDVD 5 Platinum and Nvidia FX5600

Please help, I'm pee'd off right now after spending 40 bucks. I just bought Intervideo's WinDVD 5 Platinum for my pc and when I able video hardware decoder I get no picture. If its off then movie plays. My graphics card is Nvidia Chaintech GeForce 5600Ultra FX, which I KNOW has hardware decoder acceleration. What am I doing wrong. By the way I used to have WinDVD 4 before and that had hardware acceleration enabled. Any help would be appreciated, just want to be sure I have everything set right and am using the maximal potential of my PC

I've never found hardware acceleration to improve the picture anyway. Actually, I've found quite the reverse.

You shouldn't need it at all.

I just tried hardware acceleration again on a Ti 4200 with WinDVD 4.5 Platinum. Looked disgusting.

Thanks X, I'm feeling better now. I thought my settings or card was messed up. I was told that with hardware acceleration, you are taking about 30% of the load off the CPU.
