Buying a new PC?

Through my work I get discounts at H.P. and Dell for buying a new computer. Any pros or cons on either one? With discount, H.P. appears to have the better deals, but all I have ever owned
are Dell's. Any opinions are welcomed!

If I had to pick between the two, I would go with Dell. I have an older Dell desktop and it runs just fine. I've gone through plenty of OEM computers, and I've found Dell to be the best.

For retail system, Dell's hard to beat. Just sign up for their email news letter and watch out for promos and sales. You can get in on insane deals sometimes, but you'll have to be fast and hope it gets shipped out before Dells takes notice when the deal forum whores rush in and ruin the party.

Dell, as other said, better prices and better quality computers than HP.

It's worth checking Gateway as well, they sometimes have a better deal than Dell on a similar system.

The only warning I would give about dell is that their customer service has really declined. So if you need technical help or other help after the sale you should expect not so good CS.

I for one have decided to skip Dell for now due to the decline in service I have experienced.
