Wanted - taskbar program to flash light when new pop mail is received.

The catch is, I don't want it to touch the mail. I don't want it to be an email program where other people can tought the mail. All I want is a standalone blinking light that will alert me that new mail has arrived so that I can telnet in, VNC, or something along those lines to read it normally. It would also be great if it could handle multiple accounts.

ANy ideas?

Very cool, I grabbed Poppy (first one on the list) and so far it is great. Now I just need some email.

You may also want to check out Eprompter or Mailwasher--Mailwasher allows you to see/delete/bounce the mail, but I think Eprompter only allows you to see how many there are [it's been a while since I've used it.] Both freeware, AFAIK.
here's eprompter

I have been using Eprompter for 2 years. The best thing about it is that you can read your new mail and delete whatever you want to delete. Also, it handles yahoo mail so that is a plus. If you have mail, it will blink with the number of new mails that you have.
