Help with a CD burner and music files

I just got a CD Burner. Can anyone point me to a primer on how to make music CD's. I've started to download some MP3's but I'd really like to know how I can compile some favorite music in stnadard CD format. I tried saving some tracks but they end up as read only files. Any links or help would be appreciated.

You didn't mention what burner software. Anyway, just start a new compilation and select Audio CD. Drag and drop the mp3 files and the software should automatically convert the mp3 to standard audio CD format.

Get a program like audiograbber (free at www.download.com) and you can convert your cd's into mp3's.

This is what I picked up:

http://www.directdeals.com/product.asp?id=1308

Nero burning software, V5.5, OEM, for $29.

I can easily compile CDs, copy phots to a CD, have a mix of music and videos on a CD, etc. To be honest, you should be able to do all of this with your existing software, read the owner's manual (posted above).
