Can I do this?? - Linux related

Hey guys,

I have a question that I am sure someone can answer for me.

I currently have a 40GB and a 16GB hard disk drive. On the 40GB drive I have XP Pro and am using Dynamic NTFS. The 16GB drive is empty.

What I would like to do is make the 16GB drive the primary master and the 40GB drive the secondary master, install Windows 98 in a 5GB partition on the 16GB drive and then install Mandrake 8.2 on the remainder of the 16GB drive.

If I did this would I be able to use LILO to boot into Win XP on the 40GB drive, in addition to booting into Linux and Win98 on the 16GB drive?

I do not want to mess with my XP installation or the partitions on the 40GB drive.

I appreciate any input or advice.

Thank you,

Jamie

yea.. you can do it.. but its gonna take some playing around with

first.. why bother making the smaller drive your primary master?
if your going to have problems.. it will be with this step

setting up linux and using lilo, wont be any big deal..

the interesting part will be trying to get win98 working on this machine, while xp is already loaded.. if done the other way, its a piece of cake.. doing it this way, is alot more fun

you'll probably want to look into loading an application like boot commander to handle your boot up for you.. leave your drives as they are.. and you can easily have all three operating systems set up.
