Divx expired, they want me to pay!

I've been using it for a while, but after I formatted my HD, I put the newest version of Divx on my computer. Well it's been 30 days, and I can't play any movies, it wants me to register. I can't uninstall the program, or install over it. Anybody know what to do?

do you want me to email you a copy of the older version?

Version: 2.0.0.a.9 divx player.

it is under 3 megs

by the way why will it not let you uninstall it?

is it giving you an error message when you try?

yeah, sorry... when I try to uninstall (Either by control panel or program's uninstaller) it comes up saying the uninstallation log file doesn't exist or isn't valid. When I try to play a movie it says to register the program. That note comes from file c:\Windows\System32\divxdec.ax

and I can't install anything over it, I tried installing the Nimo codec pack, and it stops, citing the above file as a problem, then the register pop up comes up.

Most of all, I can't even get this friggin' thing off my system if I wanted to!
