Does NBC.com allow you to stream without a service provider?

We want to cut the cord but we are having a hard time getting our NBC affiliate with an antenna.

We have used their streaming service but it seems to me that I might have had to give them provider information but I am not sure.

Can I use NBC.comto watch shows without a provider?

Thanks.

I think you need a provider sign-in. I needed one for their Olympic app. Not sure about just NBC though. What are you using the app for? Because other than live stuff you can probably find most of their shows on Hulu.
