I did contact Vudu & told them about the problem. After a few days I checked the UV website & my library still did not show the 20 UV movies I purchased. But today I was checking out the FandangoNow App on my 3 yr. old Samsung Smart TV. I notice there was a UV library link in the App. And guess what all the movies were there. For some reason when I go to https://www.myuv.com/ on my desktop the library is not getting updated their. I hardly ever use the FandangoNow App on my Smart TV.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Got an email from MoviesAnywhere today with a redemption code for 3 free movies for being a member for 1 year.

Happy Feet

The Fate of the Furious PG-13 version

The Martian Theatrical version

were the movies they offered. Fine with me, free is free. Redeemed.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Funny thing is I don't own any of the three.

Happy Feet - have on BD, which I can dump, not that I really needed it anyway
Furious - Rented after I bought 5-7
Martian - Rented but wouldn't mind watching it again.

If you didn't get the email, looks like you have to sync to 2 new providers:
https://moviesanywhere.com/anniversary-offer

I guess if you have them all linked you got the email already.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

FYI

If you are synced to ITunes/Apple TV you will have access to The Fate of the Furious’ extended cut as an extra.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

I have all of those also (and why would I want to watch The Martian in 2D?) Though I only have Happy Feet on HD-DVD so it might have rotted by now.

Why would you watch The Martian in 1080? 4K is where it's at.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

It was shot in real 3D (not converted)- and as I’ve said many times there’s no reason why the 4K format couldn’t have also included 3D capability. These free copies aren’t even 4K are they?

The link IDrinkMolson gave worked for me:
https://moviesanywhere.com/anniversary-offer

I connected to iTunes and FandangoNow, the only two not yet connected, and I got the three movies. Well, two, since I already had the Martian, although it's now at the top of my "recently added" again.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Finally got my e-mail today from Regal for the Universal movies promotion from this past summer that I saw.

They gave me 1 code and I got my free digital movies for Breaking In, Truth or Dare, The First Purge and a placeholder for Halloween 2018. There was a disclaimer on the email that said Halloween will be available on 12/28 and once it is, it will automatically be added to my account.

The movies did transfer to Vudu, Amazon, Google and FandangoNow. But, Truth or Dare and Breaking In did not transfer to Apple. I was confused why until I figured out that Regal gave me the theatrical versions. Apple only sold the Unrated versions, which had the theatrical versions as an extra.

Regal has this digital code promotion for several other studios.

Not bad for seeing essentially 3 of the 4 movies for nothing (with MoviePass) I paid for Halloween out of pocket.

It's possible if you contact Movies Anywhere and explain that your two titles are not porting to iTunes because of this theatrical vs unrated edition stuff that they might grant you the license to the unrated cut so it ports everywhere. I was able to do this with Stripes and they were surprisingly willing when I spoke to them back in June, I think it was by website chat. If you try it report back.

Good to know. Picked up Stripes on Vudu last week during the $4.99 sale. It ported to MA but not over to iTunes. I'll have to contact them.

Thanks for this suggestion.

I just chatted with them and the girl I chatted was more than willing to help. She said by this time tomorrow I should have an updated version that will port over to ITunes.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Update. MoviesAnywhere gave me the Unrated versions of both movies so that they would link up to my ITunes account.

Thanks again for the suggestion. Very cool of them to do that.

Same success with MA chat. They gave me the extended cut of Stripes so it now shows up on iTunes. As DJariya said... thanks for the suggestion!

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Great to know, thanks. I popped in the app real quick and noticed something interesting - I redeemed a 4K code for Air Force One (a Sony title) and it’s available in UHD. Vudu doesn’t have it in 4K.

Not yet for me. They stated they would pass it along to Tier 2 support and get back with me if they approved adding the extended cut to my account.

Within about 1/2 hour I received notice back they added it to my account. Thanks for the suggestion.
