So...I heard about this a few days ago and wasn't going to pull the trigger but then I found a bundle that was worth it.

If you download the FandangoNow app on your Xbox Live through Xbox One/S, etc and then activate it with your account...you get a 50% promotion on your next purchase. Well this applies to bundles too. And I had earmarked the Hitchcock collection at $69.99...$35 is pretty good I'm thinking. There is also a Jet Li Collection at $9.99 as well...that was yesterday. (Both are UV by the way).

So I come in this morning and look at it again, and notice the Hitchcock collection is now at $34.99. I'm thinking in my head, maybe because I'm logged in they are just recognizing my discount. But the Jet Li Collection is still $9.99. I click to purchase the Hitchock collection and not only was it $34.99, I also got my 50% making $17.50 for 14 films. A frigging steal. I might go back and get the Jet Li collection too (5 movies).

Anyway, figured I would share that in case some of you can also get in on that.

What exactly is FandangoNow? Are the movies good quality, like Vudu?

It's exactly like Vudu except their website kinda blows. Deals are also harder to find which is why I posted about this one. And actually your purchases will transport over to Vudu as long as they are UV enabled (which the Hitchcock set is), usually within a few hours (I find it happens quicker if you go to UVVU where all of your UV info is, refresh your library and then go over to Vudu and do the same thing). Just make sure in FandangoNow that your account is linked to your UV locker.

But it's wise to sign up on FandangoNow even if you don't buy anything...they have been known to give away freebies before for a limited time. (ID4, Stripes, Bourne Ultimatum).

I bought the Hiitchcock set, and even though it is uv, it's not showing up in either my uv account or on vudu. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, other fandango uv purchases are linked, just not this one set

Very odd. The best way I found was to unlink your FandangoNow in your UV account (www.myuv.com), and then link it back and refresh. From there, give it about a minute and login into Vudu. As long as it is in your UV locker, it should port over.

Thanks for the advice, I tried unblinking my up uv account then re-linking it and it didn't work. I have an email out to fandango to see if they can fix the situation

Not sure if you're still having a problem but for what it's worth my Hitchcock set purchase today ported straight through to Vudu.

Activated my app, got the 50% off bonus message, but then couldn't get the discount to show in either the app or on the website.

It might be because of the sale right now(Cyber 50) and they don't want you to stack....maybe try it tomorrow again when Cyber50 isn't active.
