YouTube on Roku2 XS issue

Not sure if this has been covered here and I didn't find anything on point when I searched so:
I have an older Roku 2 XS that has/is working fine for most channels except YouTube. I have read others having issues with the channel but mostly folks are complaining about the interface. In my case often the video will freeze or become unresponsive to the remote. When this starts often the Roku will actually reboot. Initially I thought it was due to overheating as this model is often mentioned as having this issue but I can watch hours of something, Amazon or Hulu for example, and never have an issue. I've considered a complete system reset but want to confirm if I can restore my channel lineup before doing so. I did delete and add YouTube some months ago thinking it would "cure" the issue but still having the issue. Also, the issue may pop-up on any length YouTube video not just the longer ones. Ideas??

Thanks in advance,

Rick

Re: YouTube on Roku2 XS issue

I have (3) Roku 1's that handles everything on Roku including You Tube and EPIX streaming channel ,which won't work on Roku 3's(Roku TV).

I used to have problems with MLB TV with the Roku 1's (freeze-up and rebooting) but that hasn't happened for awhile.

Contact Roku about the problem or ask on their forums because it might be an ongoing problem.

Re: YouTube on Roku2 XS issue

I'm embarrassed since I always forget Roku even has forums. I'll check.

Thanks
