I got 1917 on FandangoNow for $12.99. It's the 4K UHD version. when viewing it on Apple TV, it has all the extras including the commentaries and featurettes.

One thing to mention, if you're on the new Universal rewards program and have it linked to MoviesAnywhere, you will get 1,000 points for a purchase like this.

You have to buy the film using MA as the hub.

There are some good deals on 4k movies on iTunes. Jurassic Park, Backdraft, Big, Batman, Inception, Mad Max, The Karate Kid, and Silence of the Lambs are $4.99 each

I don't believe there is. I have a bunch of titles that I want to upgrade to UHD and it says I already own them in HD. I wish Apple would fix that loophole. At least in VUDU you can buy the UHD if you already have the HDX.

I thought there's a workaround involving buying the 4k version as a gift and entering the code yourself.

I did that with Heat last year. I got the 4K version on itunes, but it was marooned there. My MA version is only HD.

Gifting to yourself should now port UHD rights to MA. (if it's an MA title of course)

Bought a bunch of the new releases and some preorder releases.
Bought most of the Kijû Yoshida, Seijun Suzuki and Battles Without Honour and Humanity sets(movies) as I missed out on these sets.And a quick looks like most of these sets are not so cheap anymore. Also I'm not done. :)
