While the Fandango 'daily deals' URL doesn't seem to work today there are a few UV movies that dropped to $4.99 including:

The Jackal (1997)
Liar Liar (1997)
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

...I'm guessing the theme might be 1997.

Specifically they have 10-pack bundles of "Iconic" films for each decade. They are either all or almost all Paramount films, leading to a very sam-y feel to the 80s teen comedies and spoofs. The 70's collection is espically strong IMO with Harrold & Maude, Bad New Bears, Paper Moon, The Great Gatsby, Love Story, Grease and Heaven Can Wait (my personal favorite film of all-time). At $2 each you can live with a couple less-than-iconic duds.

i find it funny that they call Swimming Pool (Unrated) a "Summer Time Fun Movie". as i recall, this was pretty dramatic and erotic.. good movie, but certainly not fun...

I saw it as a banner link on the main store page. It's actually a coupon of sorts that will let you rent any movie for $0.99, so the prices won't be different. Maybe make sure you're logged in to see it.

Google Play has awful picture quality on the Roku, and no 5.1 sound on my LG TV. Good picture and sound through Chromecast, but that's the most awkward one to control. I think the last time I used that was when they had another cheap rental deal.

Are these Fandango deals normally a mix of pricing? It seems like the last few that I was interested in have been at the $7.99 price.

They are all supposed to be $4.99, the problem is it seems like it has changed in the last week or so where some of them are $7.99. I have complained before to Fandango, when they had a sale on Queen of the Damned but yet it kept showing up as $13.99. Finally after two weeks, they changed it to $4.99. But that was a month long sale and with these 48 hour sales, I don't know how much luck we'll have and there is a chance that it is supposed to be that price. :(
