And since it's MA compatible, you get the iTunes extras -- through iTunes -- including the black and white version, which is better in my opinion. I scored this during the Google Play sale they had during the holidays. Fantastic movie.

Looks like Black Lightning wasn't an error because it's still $3.99. I thought about getting it, but there are too many DC/CW shows I haven't gotten around to watching.

Black Lightning will be on Netflix by late April if they run all 13 episodes in a row.

If you don't have time to follow it week to week, just wait until then. No need to spend money on it.

I want to get CB4, but it would only port to Vudu in SD (who the heck knows why). However, I wonder if when it ports to MA, would it be saved as HD or SD...because Amazon has it in HD. The only other HD option is a weird German Blu-Ray that offers the movie in a 4 pack. I'll probably bite the bullet anyway, it would be an interesting experiment.

Experience tells me it'll stay SD on Amazon.

That said, I've seen some movies that are part of Fandango's $5 deals show up for the same price at itunes or sometimes on Amazon, so it might be worth looking at those sites, if they have it in HD and it is on MA.

My understanding is that since only Vudu links to Movies Anywhere a title will port through UV into Vudu and from Vudu at the highest resolution available on Vudu. In this example while CB4 may have HDX rights in UV, since Vudu only has it in SD then CB4 will port into Amazon as SD. If Vudu upgrades the title quality then you should automatically get the upgrade in Vudu (since you own HDX in UV) and it will populate at higher quality through MA at that later time (assuming Vudu does upgrade the quality).

I know you and Undeadcow are right, it's probably going to be SD. I would do the ITunes thing as suggested, but I've resisted the whole ITunes account thing....Let's see Google Play but alas they are 9.99 and SD. *sigh*, so weird that Amazon & Fandango are HD and Vudu & Google Play are SD. I wish Kino (or some other boutique not named Olive) would release it or Universal themselves. I looked up the specs on that German blu yesterday on Capsaholic, it's awful, seriously.

Edit: Okay, did it. Yep, HD in Fandango and UV locker. SD on Vudu and subsequently MA which means Amazon or GP is SD. Oh well, at least there is a Fandango app on my Xbox.
