I didn't think that hit the DVDTalk niche audience so I didn't post it. It's definitely not jam. I read a couple of the books and watched the first movie and just didn't care for it.

I somehow already have Pet Semetary and Running Man and I doubt I bought them individually so they must have been part of some earlier bundle

edited to add: nvm, Apple was showing I could watch them because of Paramount Plus. But this same bundle was 9.99 on itunes back in October, that's what I must have been remembering (and I didn't pull the trigger)

And obviously these are Paramount so no movies anywhere

Any thoughts on Longmire and/or The Following?

I always vacillate on HBO series. I'm never dropping HBO, so it seems unnecessary to buy something like Succession or Girls or True Detective, which will probably never leave the service. I know Westworld did, but still I don't expect these shows to go away.

The Closer ran 7 seasons and got a full conclusion. Same with Nip/Tuck. So when and if you get a chance to check those out you should be good. Keep in mind, The Closer is 95% self contained procedural. There are a few serial arcs here and there.

As for your question

The Following ran 3 seasons on FOX at 15 episodes each (that's what Kevin Bacon asked for in his contract) It's a serialized horror/serial killer show. Unfortunately it was cancelled following a major cliffhanger. So story-wise it's incomplete.

Longmire is a Western procedural that aired on A&E and later Netflix. It got a complete and satisfying run after A&E cancelled it and later Netflix picked it up.

I love Longmire. It was a Fanflix Flash sale last July for $12.99, but it will probably never be that low again $20 is a good price for it.
