Thanks, Kedrix! I picked up The Car, as I believe it's a movie that I used to always watch on HBO as a kid.

Amazon has the various Star Trek seasons for cheap. Most seasons for $20 and some for $15 or $10 (TOS is available at $10 a season). Though if you have Prime, though, you can just watch Trek through that.

Dead in Tombstone (unrated)

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

I really liked Dead in Tombstone, it's a fun macho horror western b-movie that delivers despite everything about it looking generic. They recently made a sequel, Dead Again in Tombstone.

Siren's gotten enough good reviews that I bought it for $14.99 (with Vudu credits) a few weeks ago -
seems like a safe buy at $4.99.

It probably is right. I haven't seen it since it was new, but it sounds right that it was really long.

It feels about 3 times as long as that run time.

What you guys don't have 3 hours and 12 minute to spare? ;)

I thought good movies are never long enough as someone said here....

Honestly, after the first
Spoiler:
quarter-
hour, I don't remember that much about it. Claire Forlani was lovely, though.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

Well, if you configure your MS account in order to log into your computer, and sign up for BING rewards and link to your MS account/Edge, and load the Bing rewards plugin, every month you can get 900 points for "browsing" using EDGE (10 points per hour). And, "browsing" includes watching videos in Full Screen.

And to keep this post on track with the tread...
Then, you can cash those points in for $5 Amazon giftcards (and buy Amazon video) or $5 Walmart giftcards (and apply to VUDU to buy vudu video). There's also a $25 Hulu giftcard.
It resets every month. So I have "watched" Ten Commandments (220m) and Watchmen Ultimate (216m) and Lord of the Rings Return of the King Extended (264m) several times.
And by "watched" I mean I started the movie on 2 different computers and walked away and replay/rewind it several times a day until I max out on my browsing points each month.
You can earn a set amount of points each day by searching Bing on a computer and a separate amount on a mobile device plus other bonuses/emails.
I've got $90 in giftcards so far this year.

Vudu has an offer, if you pre-order Homecoming in HDX for $19.99, you'll get upgraded to UHD+HER and a $3 credit.

Mikael79 09-25-17 12:01 PM

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

Vudu posted on Facebook yesterday that they have a big announcement coming up today. Hopefully it's free upgrades to UHD, but my hopes aren't that high.

I'd be happy with paid upgrades to UHD that weren't the full purchase price. Like, pay the price difference between HDX and UHD to get access to the UHD version.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

I'm glad the Apple move got them scared - as long as that what the announcement is for.
