When does the new Star Trek start? That'd be the only reason I'd try this, but pretty sure it wouldn't cover more than one episode that will be broadcast ota anyway.

The email I received relating to Star Trek Discovery referred to the free month as a way to catch up on previous ST series and movies before Discovery releases. Also, I had not heard it would be available initially any other way than via CBS all access.....


Side note... I wonder what the abbreviation will be for Star Trek Discovery... Cause the first letter of each name makes an awful acronym....

Free trial won't work for the commercial-free option, and don't think I have the patience to sit through commercials even for free right now. Sort of want to see if the quality has improved at least though.

So are most of these Fandango deals films that have been released on BD already? Because if so you could do the in home disc to digital for $2 each, right? Or are they picking films not on BD and/or not on the D2D list?

BD, yes most of them are (but a couple weren't like Lost Highway (in this country) and Undercover Brother). D2D, not necessarily...and that requires you own the original disc as well. Not to mention, Vudu's D2D/M2D is ridiculously picky as in this version, but not this version crap. So, yeah I'm sure some of them are....but I'll give the nod to Fandango for something I don't own and really don't want the blu-ray for or that's not on the D2D list. I wish they had a better interface/website...I'd like to use them more than Vudu.

Agreed on Sneakers. I actually imported the blu-ray from the UK a few years ago before it was available here. Well worth it.

If I got The Lion King on Fandango, that won't transfer to Vudu correct (bc Disney)? they just have so many more extras than Vudu and is $4.00 cheaper. Fandango has over 70 bonus features! Vudu only like 30 something. and can i watch Fandango on TV as easy as Vudu then?

Fandango is not compatible with Disney Movies Anywhere. So it won't transfer to any other services, and you won't get the Disney Movie Rewards points.

All the extra features should be available at Disney Movies Anywhere and on the DMA app (available on Roku).

i don't have Roku. what about XBOX One? does it have app?
