Excellent, and great to hear. Maybe I should try to get it on disc instead, we'll see.

I thought it was a lot of fun. Rihanna is a goddess. I am watching the 1-hour making-of featurette and it looks like everyone involved had a blast.

haha -- I never said she was a quality actress. She's just fucking hot and steals the scenes she's in thanks to her dance number.

The film is an entertaining romp.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

Just saved myself some money and a trip to the theater, because this is available for rent:

The SD version is $6.99 and the HDX version is $7.99.

Not that I recall. It was at 83% last time I saw -- certified fresh and all that. I'm a Miike fan and wanted to see it anyway. It was worth it.

I saw that Amazon has it for $6.99 in HD via PRIME for the rental. VUDU has it for $7.99.

something to consider, but with such good consensus, may wait for physical. an Amazon rental won't transfer to Vudu though MA or something like that, right?

It will to MA but I'm not sure about rentals. BOFTI is only available for rent. You're also at the leisure of what version the license from Amazon gets you if you're transferring. I own Predator from Amazon but when MA transferred it to my VUDU account it did so with only a 2.0 Stereo soundtrack. The Amazon version still has 5.1.

*don't think Amazon rentals transfer to VUDU. If you want to watch it direct from VUDU then you'll have to pay the extra $1 for HDX.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

Blade Runner (Final Cut)

Warner now has you redeem it through Vudu or MoviesAnywhere (on Warner's website). Which then gives you access to the 4+ hours of extras on iTunes.
