What devices do you use to stream?
What devices do you use to stream?
Obviously there are numerous ones out there.
I prefer to use the Roku and occasionally the XBox 360. When I'm away from home, I'll use my Ipad Air. The Roku is just so user friendly and smooth for the TV.
I hate streaming sitting at my PC. Just not a comfortable experience at all. Plus, you have to sit through ads on many sites. Bootleg streaming sites sometimes have viruses, malware or trojan horses that could ruin your PC. That's why I prefer not to use the PC. Just not a good TV viewing experience overall. I need to be comfortable, not sitting at a desk.
Streaming using a Mobile phone sucks. I don't know why anyone would use that as a regular device to watch shows or movies?
I hate that some providers don't honor certain devices. For example, Starz doesn't support the Roku, so I have to fire up the 360 to use Starzplay to watch Outlander or Power.

Re: What devices do you use to stream?
You left out Apple TV.
I just use my Roku and Apple TV. And I use a Boxee for local streaming. I've got other devices like the 360, PS3, Kindle Fire Stick and Chromecast. But there's no point in using them since Roku & Apple TV handle everything I need.
I don't stream from my PC or Tablet outside of short 3-4 minute clips. If I want to watch something, I'll watch it on the TV.

That's why I put other in case I forgot something.

My brother in law actually has Apple TV. He and my sister don't subscribe to pay television. It's just not in their household budget. I think they use it for Amazon Prime and possibly Hulu, but for some reason they don't subscribe to Netflix even though it's so cheap. They buy a few shows a la carte from Apple, but it's too expensive to buy too many at sometimes $40-something per season.

I use my blu-ray player and a Fire TV stick. My blu-ray player is 4 years old at this point, so some of the apps are outdated. I believe the YouTube app for it is dead.

Mostly I use my Tivo Roamio OTA to stream Netflix/VUDU/Amazon. I like the way in integrates the streaming shows and the DVR functions. However, it doesn't have everything so I use Apple TV for HBO Now & Showtime. Only because there wasn't much choice (initially).
Then I use the Fire Stick for Sling Tv. And Chromecast for whatever else I can. Just because it's easier to search for stuff on the tablet than a remote.

I stream on a PC, but I certainly don't sit at a desk. I have my PC connected to my HDTV and sit on the couch. Sitting at a desk to use a PC is so 1990s...

Internet-enabled TVs could be another poll option.
I use:
Xbox One (replaced 360)
PS3
Laptop (when on the road)
Desktop PC (as a second screen when I'm working on laptop)
Phone (for HBO Now because of the Apple exclusive)
I also have FireTV which I was going to try as a road device, but my second-to-last hotel had limited wi-fi and my last one had a CRT TV.

Roku 3 primarily.
I have a Chromecast which isn't being used right now and an Amazon Fire TV Stick in the bedroom.
I own an Xbox One but find the apps, strangely enough, work better on the Roku. I may start using it as an OTA DVR though (when available).

I have a Roku 3, a Fire TV, a Google Chromecast, XBOX 360, PS3, (The Nintendo before the current one, that white one with the first hands-free, can't even remember the name since I never use it), an HD stream-everything thingamajig.
I use the iPad. We have a flat-screen TV (47") but I moved and we're gonna renovate the house and he doesn't watch TV so we just have it propped up against the wall unplugged. I only watch stuff while on the bike trainer so I just use the iPad.

Re: What devices do you use to stream?
That's what I primarily use for Netflix and Youtube (via smart phone mirror).
I use a Roku stick for streaming other stuff like sports, HBOGo, and Amazon Prime (the interface for Amazon on my smart TV sucks).
Have a Blu Ray in the bedroom which has some basic streaming options (Netflix, Amazon, Vudu).

We've got an Apple TV in the living room, a Roku 3 in the bedroom and an Amazon Fire stick on our daughter's tv for stuff like HBO Go, Nextflix, etc. My wife uses her iPad to stream stuff away from home.

Re: What devices do you use to stream?
I have a Lenovo Q190 PC connected to my living room TV. It's a pretty cool little machine and using a PC provides a lot more options than most other devices.
I have a second TV with a PS3 connected to it, which works pretty well.
