I had AMC+ for a while, assuming it would have all of Shudder, as well as the AMC stuff. I found the Shudder content to be very inconsistent in terms of when things were added...so I eventually dropped AMC+ and just got Shudder on its own.

I had Shudder as an add-on to my Amazon Prime account, and none of the live stuff would show up through that. About a year ago, I ditched the Amazon Prime add-on and went with a direct subscription to Shudder. Problem solved.

So, yeah, you may want to back out of that deal if watching the Joe Bob episodes when they debut is something you've gotta be able to do.

I don't need to see them "live", but I've been able to watch the first four episodes of Season 4 (generally on the following Monday) and suddenly episodes 5 and 6 are behind the Shudder pay wall. Obviously if this sticks I'll cut short the deal and get a month of Shudder when the season is complete.

Update: They did finally fix it late Thursday or early Friday so that Episodes 5 and 6 were now available.

Shudder on Youtube TV was a bit of a mess like this...curious if they've fixed this universally, or just on Prime

I don't know if I imagined it but I could've sworn there was a thread for the movie Mad God. (Yes, I tried some searches) It's a stop-motion/live-action hybrid by Phil Tippett. It's on Shudder now and it's a surreal plunge into a trippy world. Per Wikipedia

While working on Robocop 2, Tippett began filming what would become Mad God.[6] His work on Jurassic Park led him to believe the days of stop motion were over and the film was shelved.[6]

Twenty years later, with the encouragement of members of his studio, Tippett began working on the project again[7] utilizing crews of volunteers to assist him.[8]

So on the weekends I would get as many as 15 and 20 people coming round. They didn’t all have the talent or skill, but I’d figure out the processes during the week. I had them do all the heavy lifting.[5]

With aid from Kickstarter donations,[7] Tippett was able to create the first three sections which make up about half of the film.[1] Tippett released a behind-the-scenes footage on YouTube during production.[4

I wouldn't be surprised if it's V/H/S/99.

That would've been my guess. I'd assume anything upcoming that is under AMC Networks' umbrella is possible.

It could also be Scare Package 2.

They did this last year with Lucky, which was about two months before the official Shudder release.

Not any more, apparently:

“We're so sorry for the confusion! At this time, promotional codes can only be utilized on new or inactive subscriptions and cannot be applied mid-billing cycle. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

That sucks. I've done it a few times in the past and never had a problem. I just did it for me a few months ago.

My year expires tomorrow, so I cancelled. It offered me a free month to stay, and then said, “Psych! You already used this promotion.”

I may try the year code later, or just take a break from Shudder for awhile.

There's news going around about some major cutbacks and layoffs at AMC. The General Manager of Shudder was just let go earlier today. I hope they don't close it down.

It kind of feels like AMC is going to just sunset all their services and make AMC+ the only one. I do think it is weird that they have so many and then one main one, but Shudder is easily their best. If that is what ends up happening, they will need to completely revamp the AMC+ app to be more like Shudder, while still keeping the brand Hubs.

I like the live channels.

I wish Netflix would do that(different movie genres).

Just watched a neat little Thai thriller/horror movie called "The Pool".... loved the simplistic concept but if an American version is done, there would be a few scenes omitted. If you know, you know.

I hope they don't either :(

Been spending the past month tearing through my queue in case something does happen to Shudder.

I just renewed my yearly subscription a few months ago. The better be prepared to refund me a prorated form of that subscription if they do shut down the service. I'd rather it stay running for my wife's sake. She watches it the most.
