If you have Verizon Wireless, check Verizon Up on the My Verizon app for a free month of CBS All Access (new users). NO Verizon credit needed.

I'm "this much closer" to signing up for this to watch ST Discovery.

Thanks for that.

Need to redeem within 30 days. Too bad I couldn't get to coincide with TTZ or the full Season 2 of Discovery.

Why doesn't the phone app have "back/Forward 10 sec" buttons. :(

Recent article over at Cord Cutting News.com says that CBS All-Access has over 8 million subscribers.

I'm just seeing that they don't have all seasons of some of the Star Trek series. WTF? It's not a huge deal since Star Trek shows seem to be on many other services but still...

I'm looking right now at All-Access:

TNG: 7 seasons

Enterprise: 4 seasons

Voyager: 7 seasons

TOS: 3 seasons

DS9: 7 seasons

Looks accurate to me.

Do they still have missing Perry Mason episodes?

I got so fed up that I ordered the entire series on DVD for 72 bucks over a year ago.

So much for not buying tv series on Blu-ray or dvd because they are streaming on certain services. Sooner or later they get pulled and you get stuck holding the bag .

Streaming services like this aren't meant to be permanent libraries, they're Video on Demand services with rotating libraries. Even stuff like CBS All Access with an extensive archive can occasionally rotate items. It's a replacement for cable television.

What you're describing with replacing DVDs and Blu-rays is a service like iTunes or Vudu where you buy the episodes and have them forever. Sadly, Mason was never released in a proper streaming format.

Ok, then maybe it was updated? Because when I looked at Voyager's seasons there were only 4 or so and I thought it was weird.

I haven't monitored the Trek episodes daily, but as far as I know, CBS Access carries EVERYTHING on shows they actually own, and selected episodes on series that they telecast (or telecasted in the past) but are owned by another entity (such as, for example, Big Bang Theory, which is owned by Warner Bros.).

ST is a split season again, right? No point to subscribe if that is still the case.

Was the 1st season split? I swear I didn't subscribe to it initially because they split the 1st season.

Edit: I looked it up. They took a 2 month break. That is what I was pissed about last time.

Thanks. Had to use a burner e-mail to get a new account.

Will give Trek S2 a shot. Did not like S1, but based on word of mouth in TV Talk, will give S2 a shot. Can't be worse. And I have a month, rather than a week when I tried it last year.

I liked S1, but I REALLY liked S2. It was better in almost every way.

Realized this morning that I forgot to sign up for free month. Was able to use code Summer30 and get the free month.

With some Google searching there are reports that if you cancel up to a week before the trial ends it may offer 50% off 2 months and in some cases if you decline the 50% off offer it sometimes offers an additional 2 months free.

I plan to give that a try.

Yea... I cancelled after my free trial and receive offers all the time. Same with SundanceNow. I got 3 months for $5 with that one.

Such a shitty app on my Roku. Kept failing half-way through the 4th episode at the same point each time. Deleting the app and restoring it didn't help. Now watching the 4th episode on my computer.

And this Trek still isn't good. Laboring through it.

My app runs great on Roku Ultra. Are you using an older Roku?

Seems to run great on our Roku 3 so far
