Seems like the Apple TV+ add on deal, Showtime + CBS All Access for 9.99 a month, is now dead. Speculation is that like HBO Max, once it's rebranded it won't be available on Apple at all.

I have that deal. Did they email you about it? I haven't heard anything from them about it.

Maybe dead to new customers? I haven't gotten any notification about ending the promotion and just paid $10 at the end of last month.

Sorry, I meant that they removed new signups to it. Maybe it's as simple as they want to wait for the rebranding to re introduce it or something.

The latest promo splash I saw with B Positive said that current Apple TV+ channel subscribers will transition to Paramount+.

So perhaps the bundle will return on or after March 4.

On Apple TV app, they have a message saying that nothing will change once CBA All Access becomes Paramount +. We can access the content the same way through the same app.

Yeah I see confusion about that. I see people are asking about downloading a new Paramount+ app and how much it will cost in addition to CBSAA.

It's really their fault for intentionally obscuring the fact that Paramount+ is CBS All Access rebranded. There is like zero mention of CBS All Access in any of those commercials, by design.

I'm still hoping the sportsline "free" sub (was 10 bucks, now 25 bucks for a year with promo) maintains after the switch, but even with that I have no idea.

Given (I think) Paramount owns or has a stake in PlutoTV, wonder what other content will be removed from there (the Crank Yankers channel is gone, or at least I can't find it).

I guess we don't have a rebranded thread in the streaming forum?

They're making announcements about the new content right now:

https://ir.viacomcbs.com/streamingevent

So far:
Halo TV series moving from Showtime to this
Spongebob "prequel" series

Some Paramount movies will premiere exclusively on Paramount Plus in 30 days after release. Everything else will come within 90 days.

Also, they basically redid their deal with Epix:

https://variety.com/2021/film/news/p...al-1234914288/

Two things from this:
They are basically going to get the Epix content that Amazon Prime was getting (this was one of the main sources of "new" movies on Prime, honestly, so I wonder if Amazon is going to bring someone else in or, like they usually do with their Prime Video service, just ignore it)
They redid it so that they could get some of their movies (as stated above) to their service first before it goes to Epix:

The new agreement will give Paramount the flexibility to sent select titles directly to Paramount Plus after their theatrical runs, before they go to Epix. The first two titles under that agreement will be “A Quiet Place II” and “Mission: Impossible 7.” It’s expected that big franchise titles like “Star Trek” and “Transformers”-branded movies will go straight to Paramount Plus in order to give subscribers an incentive to stick with the streamer.

Taylor Sheridan has 4 new shows coming to Paramount plus

A Yellowstone spinoff, prequel, a series starring Jeremy Renner and another one called Land man.

MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN

Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family – power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither. Mayor of Kingstown will be executive produced by Sheridan, co-creator Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Michael Friedman.

LAND MAN

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Land Man is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics. Land Man will be executive produced by Sheridan and produced by David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari

YELLOWSTONE SPINOFF, 6666 (WORKING TITLE)

Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing … The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world class cowboys are born and made. The series will be executive produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.

Y: 1883

Y: 1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana. From MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, Y:1883 will be executive produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.

Boy, I know they're doing their best on new offerings, but there is nothing I would pay for at this point. That and the fact there's only 24 hours a day.

Paramount Plus will boast a slew of revivals and spinoffs of established MTV Entertainment Group comedies as part of its original programming lineup. The new service will feature iterations of of “Inside Amy Schumer,” “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah,” “Workaholics,” “Reno: 911!” and “Beavis & Butt-head.”

“Inside Amy Schumer” will return with five specials for Paramount Plus, the rebranded CBS All Access, which was the subject of a starry preview Wednesday at ViacomCBS’ investor day. The original sketch comedy series, created by and starring Schumer, aired on Comedy Central from 2013 to 2016 and won two Primetime Emmy Awards. Schumer was still under contract to produce additional episodes at the time she walked away from the show as her movie career heated up.

“The Weekly Show With Trevor Noah” will feature the host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” in an initial six-episode run on Paramount Plus, which he will also produce. Noah explore stories across the societal landscape and talk with people behind the headlines.

“Reno: 911! The Hunt for QAnon” is described as a “supersized event” based on the original comedy series. “Reno: 911” was recently revived as a short-form series for Quibi, receiving two 2020 Emmy nominations.

“Beavis & Butt-head” creator Mike Judge will again revisit the animated MTV franchise in a new, untitled feature for Paramount Plus. Judge will serve as executive producer and voice the main characters. ViacomCBS announced last year that a revived “Beavis & Butt-head” series would be coming to Comedy Central as part of its refresh of the cable channel.

A movie based on the Comedy Central series “Workaholics” has also been greenlit for Paramount Plus, and will reunite original cast Blake Anderson, Adam Devine and Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck.
