Gorgeous in 4K.

I just went into ATV and it says only in HD and it's $8.99 now.

I see $4.99 on iTunes, and bought it. According to Cheap Charts it's still $4.99 too.

Yeah, that's weird. I went then went in via my ATV4K to the store and it was there for $4.99 4K/DV. Scooped it up.

8 Universal Monster Classics (most in 4K) for $19.99
14 Hitchcock films (the well-known ones in 4K) for $24.99 (EDIT: I see someone's already posted this one a few days back)

Both good deals if you don't already own the movies.

I bought the Universal Monster Classics and they all ported over in 4k at Vudu.

I was wrong. I can’t read apparently. Bride of Frankenstein still ported over to Vudu in HDX.

I believe Bride is only in HD (not 4K) on iTunes, so this is why...I don't believe it's available in 4K yet.

Lots more titles this time around too, at least seems like many more than have been there in years past.

Re: iTunes Movies/TV - Bargains, Deals, Freebies

Amazon has 2 Apple gift card Cyber Monday deals.

Each one is buy $100, get $15 bounce back credit. The bounce back credit a code you enter during checkout, it's not a gift card.

Amazon Amazon
$100 physical - APPLEDEAL
Amazon Amazon
$100 digital - APPLEDIGITAL

After you enter the specific Apple code during checkout, you will only see a note that says "Apple promo"

^I got the email confirming the promotional credit and they changed it. It now says the credit has been applied to your account. Which I like better so I don’t forget to use it.

Re: iTunes Movies/TV - Bargains, Deals, Freebies

Anyone know how to upgrade HD titles to 4K on iTunes/Apple TV? They have the Social Network 4K on sale for $4.99, but they won't let me buy it because I already own the HD version of it. I purchased the HD version via Fanflix/Movies Anywhere before it was available in 4K. I've been able to buy other movies like A League of their Own at other sites when they go on sale at other sites (Vudu,Amazon,Microsoft) to upgrade my iTunes copy from HD to 4k. Is it possible to gift it yourself and use the code to upgrade or would I just be burning that code?

I don't think it will export as 4K to MA after that though. FWIW, in those situations I usually just wait for Prime to price match which usually happens in the next day or so.

If you gift a MA title, it will port in whatever quality it is currently in even if you already own it. So you will get 4k in MA and all connected retailers.

I believe that's only when you've previously purchased a HD copy from Apple and later the 4K comes out and you get the complimentary upgrade. It doesn't upgrade other retailers in that case.

I upgraded Apollo 13 using the gift method and it transferred to MA and then VUDU and Amazon upgrading from HD to 4K on all.

Update: iTunes has the 4K Spartacus for $4.99 this weekend. The gift method worked again with all retailers also upgrading to 4K. It probably doesn't matter but I do send the gift to a different email. Not the one associated with my AppleID.

There's also quite a few Sony 4K Titles on sale for $4.99. I upgraded my copies of As Good As It Gets, Superbad, and Ghostbusters to 4K.

iTunes has the 4 Star Trek:TNG movies (in 4K) as a set for $19.99. $5 a movie in 4K... I'll take it.
