Warner Archive Instant - Complete List

OK, so the release yesterday of the Warner Archive Instant iPad app finally prompted me to bite the bullet and sign up for the free trial. I've watched 1 film so far - Vincente Minnelli's Lust For Life - and really enjoyed it, and the quality was fantastic.

It is not very easy to get a full list of titles available on the service. On the Warner Archive podcast a few weeks back it was mentioned that they currently have "over 500 feature movies and dozens of hours of TV" available.

Instead of doing the work I should have been doing this afternoon I took the opportunity to dig deep into the site and have put together what I think is a complete list of what is currently available. It is well below the 500 movies mentioned in the podcast - I currently make it 379 - although the layout of the site could mean that I have missed some. If you know of any omissions on my list then please let me know, but I think that they must have exaggerated on the numbers. The first version of the list is below. I intend to update it as time goes on as and when new content is added. I will also add additional information about each title as and when time allows.

The list is divided into 3 sections: first movies, then TV movies, then TV series. Items I have watched using the service are green.

UPDATE #1: [14 December 2013)
I noticed Cat People (1942) and The Big Cube (1969) which I hadn't noticed when putting together the full list yesterday. Could be new additions but they're not listed as such. Possible I just missed it yesterday although I think unlikely. Brings the movie total up to 381.

Re: Warner Archive Instant - Complete List

Is this worth 9.99 a month? Their website seems too lack a lot of listings and information on programming?

Re: Warner Archive Instant - Complete List

If Shazam and the Challenge of the Super whatever specials were on there, I would try out the trial, but nothing on there grabs me (if it does, I already have it on DVD.

Re: Warner Archive Instant - Complete List

Just started the free trial. They need more tv shows and animation.

It will be interesting too see what other Major Studios will get involved in the streaming business.

This needs to die a slow death and the contents should be re-introduced to Netflix, Amazon, or Both.

This is what I am thinking .. this is not really any better than Crackle as far as lineup .. I get that there are no commercials, but I could maybe see paying $9.99 a year for this .. not much more than that.

Thanks to the OP for posting the list

Re: Warner Archive Instant - Complete List

Arise, chicken.

Six Hong Kong martial arts films from Golden Harvest studios are now available in 1080p HD and presented in 16x9 widescreen with their original language intact with English captions. From the 70s through the 90s Golden Harvest introduced stars like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Jet Li to the world. These initial six titles have been rarely seen on home video in the US, and these few are just the beginning! Films include Downtown Torpedoes (1997), Big Bullet (1996), The Blade (1995), Blade of Fury (1993), Pedicab Driver (1989) and Terracotta Warrior (1989).
Pedicab Driver and The Blade are bonafide classics without authorized DVD releases. This would be the update that gets me to start a free trial IF PlayOn worked with Warner Instant. Let's hope WA offers MOD or, dare I hope, BD releases of these titles soon.

Re: Warner Archive Instant - Complete List

This service has been a major disappointment. I had big hopes that they would improve as time went on, but the catalog hasn't grown much and it's still overpriced.

In December 2013 they had 381 movies and 30 TV movies/shows. Over a year and a half later, they're only up to 511 movies and 107 TV movies/shows.

And their price is still $10/month or $85/year. Most services like this are $5/month or $50/year.

The pricing is probably too high but I would guess it sees very few users.

I still need to do my free trial of this. Have been meaning to do it when I have a lot of free time to watch all the ones I want; currently doing the free Showtime trial which runs out this week.

Don't know why they don't open up their Hanna Barbera Library?
