I've been watching some of the BBC type shows my local PBS station airs but always interrupts for fund drives. Now I'm about a season ahead watching "Larkrise to Candleford" (yes I watch shows little girls like) and have been watching old Dr Who shows when the real Doctor, Tom Baker, was on it.

Eastenders....I'd forgotten about that show. Used to watch when I lived in Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area. I suspect too much time has passed to even know the characters now. My local PBS is showing "Death in Paradise" after. OK I guess but I tend to watch it.

I finished up Justified season 3 this past week. Gonna obviously wait a bit before they make season 4 available for PRIME. Started Suits season 2 in the meantime. I did watch the first episode of Falling Skies but am not sure I want to keep going, because I was not impressed at all by it.

I just signed up for Amazon Prime (needed some Halloween costume stuff for my son to ship real quickly.)
Tips on using Amazon Prime Instant Video? I only want to watch free stuff. I'm mainly watching either on my Xbox or BD player. What's the watchlist? Does APIV have anything like Netflix's queue? Is there an easy way to browse only content that is free with APIV? Once I cancel cable I may do NF as well - I want to watch Orange is the new Black and Breaking Bad. |

You can browse the Prime Free Streaming library at the Amazon website. On the Amazon Homepage sidebar, click on Unlimited Instant Videos > Prime Instant Videos. On the Xbox360 app, there's a section for Prime Movies and Prime TV Shows.
Watchlist is the same as Netflix's Queue. Unfortunately, there's no way to organize it. You can only add and remove titles. |

I noticed that Ginger Snaps is back on Amazon Prime. This is the only place I've seen an HD version. Did it ever get a Blu-ray release anywhere?

Spring Breakers and Ginger & Rosa have been added to Amazon Prime Streaming. Other movies from studio A24 will be available in the future.

I have the Prime trial and I've been very impressed with it, esp. now that they have subtitles with most titles. The selection is pretty decent.
When did they switch from Flash to SIlverlight? Stuff like Rokus had to do an app update for it otherwise it wouldn't work anymore? |

Huh, I kind of half-watched Spring Breakers as a rental and may give it another spin on Prime, maybe give it a three-quarters watch this time. Thanks for posting that.

Spring Breakers was kind of a mixed bag for me. Yeah it's 4 hot 20 something girls prancing around in their bikinis, but then you have James Franco acting like some 2nd rate Eminem wannabe. That got old fast. If you have Prime, it's a good watch once. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

I just noticed they have the entire runs of some Warner Bros. cartoons series: Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Pinky and the Brain, and Animaniacs. Batman might be the next thing I watch. Hopefully it won't get pulled while I'm in the middle of watching it like Spider-Man.

Doing the Prime trial and while I like Falling Skies, there isn't much more of interest I don't already own on physical media. Oh yeah, I did notice that Vikings seems available free on prime now. I'll be sure to catch that... Anything else I should check out?
