Yeah I checked the trade forum over there already. Guess I will wait for a deal on discs with codes.

There's a site called DVDTalk where people sell unwanted UV codes.

The complete series of Invader Zim is $9.99...that's really good. I usually shy away from these, but that might be worth it.

Shit, that's a great deal! Does the $3 off coupon work on that?

The $3 credit doesn't work at all any more. If you got in on it, you can redeem it for anything, but only until 7/5/16.

It's expensive, but I'm still thinking about getting Sherlock Series 1-3 which is $33.99 with the 50% off sale. Those Blu Rays NEVER go on sale. I'd buy each season for $11 each, so I should be able to get over this mental hurdle, but for some reason it's hard for me.

I did end up getting Invader Zim, already watched a couple of episodes (I've seen them all before but its been a while) with my 1 year old, he seemed about as enthused to watch it as a kid his age would be, lol. Good, good quality for it being "SD".

Anyway, I am in the same boat with Sherlock. I would spend $11 bucks per Blu-Ray season in a heartbeat, but it's the whole digital thing I'm having a hard time with. I think if the HDX price was the same as the SD price (21.99), I would have already pulled the trigger. It's close, darn close...but not quite there.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I said fuck it and decided to snag Invader Zim anyway.

And for those that love Zim looks like a new collected comic volume series came out a couple of months ago and the reviews are great.

Volume 2 is released in August:

Oh shit! Thanks for the head's up on the new Zim comics!
And $9.99 for the series is super tempting, but it's SD only, eh? I have the DVDs (in the house box set)... but digital would be more convenient and less clutter.

My ex-wife had the Invader Zim box set so I remember the quality, and to me the digital version is just as good quality wise if not a little better. So while it is SD, I honestly believe there is no "better" quality to be had. I wish my ex-wife didn't take the DVD's....but alas I'm not paying $50 or more to get it back so I am quite happy with the digital version.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

An ex-girlfriend got me into the show and it was awesome. I own the DVD set but never did splurge on the house set - the price was too much. Now for $9.99 - makes it ultra convenient to watch without having to grab the DVDs.

Independence Day (plus Special Edition Version and bonus features) - $4.99 HDX

http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...bonus-features

Even if you already own the regular version, this one is worth the double dip. The Special Edition version has 5.1 DD+ audio (regular version only has 2.0 audio). And there's over 2 hours of bonus features.

Constantine: Season 1 is $9.99 (HDX)

http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...ntine-Season-1

That's the lowest price it's ever been. Usually it's 24.99. And I don't think there's a DVD or Blu-ray release.

Tempting, but now that it's been renewed, it's grab (edit to add: grab? wtf autocorrect! I meant "bound to") end up on disc eventually.

Renewed? As far as I know, Constantine is still cancelled. Are you thinking of something else? Preacher or Lucifer maybe?

I saw a few headlines this morning about CW picking it up for a second season. Didn't read any articles though, maybe they were wrong?

I think they were going to try and incorporate the Constantine character into their Legends of Tomorrow show. He had already guest starred on Arrow.

They recently announced that they're streaming the first season on CW seed. I haven't seen any announcement regarding a second season

There's not. And I doubt there ever will be.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Been with dvd talk for quite a while now, and first time I noticed there's a Vudu thread! I'm glad I found out. Just started building up my digital over the last couple of years and have quickly piled up on my collection, primarily to share with my siblings. Glad there's a quick link to check on Vudu discounts

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Good movies on sale as well for $6.99, including Eddie the Eagle, Midnight Special, Hail Caesar, Gods of Egypt (not great at all, but not as bad as I thought. Okay, it was almost that bad), Eye in the Sky, The Revenant, Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, Triple 9.
