French Connection/II, didn't work for me, cause Fox. The Conversation was a no go for me as well. And you have Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. That came with a UV code. Did you sell yours? Most of those other discs worked for me.

But try French Connection and Conversation. They may work now, who knows.

i don't know where that UV went, but i don't have it anymore so it is possible i just gave it away, like i did with John Wick and a couple others that i am regretting now

the only weird thing i came across was with The Conversation. it was recognized as 2 other FFC movies, Tetro and Apocalypse Now, but not The Conversation. go figure...

Hellboy bluray came up as The Punisher (Jane) which again was weird...

some Blurays were also recognized as DVD and had to convert to HDX. that was a little annoying...

It means that the software can't identify your disc. And it will never work, because they don't manually verify anything. And they won't be contacting you either.

You can try the CinemaNow or Flixster software (see my post above). It might work with those. Or you can take the disc into Walmart, and have them do the conversion.


Make a list of the Blu-rays that were incorrectly charged the DVD rates, and submit at ticket to Vudu Support. They will refund you for the overcharge.

I upgraded Flash on my PC and AIR was already up to date (there was a forced install when I installed Vudu to Go) and it still doesn't work on my Vista machine. I login from the app, and the screen turns black and nothing happens. If I start clicking around, it asks me to login again.

I'm at about 1200, but I don't find it addicting. I seem to be at the whim of my family who randomly requests stuff over the past couple of years or so. So I mostly do it for them. But nothing will ever beat my blu collection at home. And it's hard to appreciate a good Criterion on digital only. Makes me glad they're not part of this.

If Vudu dies, you'll only lose the non-UV content. The important thing is that UltraViolet survives and there is at least one UV provider out there.

Without Vudu, the rest of the UV landscape is worthless crap. Sure, you'll still have your movies. But who wants to use CinemaNow or Flixster? Both have subpar video/audio and awful UI. Plus they have much smaller libraries than Vudu. So even if you own the UV rights to a particular movie, there might be no service that carries it.

I'm hoping that if Walmart decides to drop Vudu, another company will buy them out. Or the studios themselves will step up and do something to rescue UV. Because without Vudu, UV will die.

All of the major studios are behind UV, the codes are coming with 99% of all new titles from those studios, and I'm pretty sure the right people are making money, so I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.

Rejected "Grease: Rockin Rydell Edition" & "Saturday Night Fever 30th Anniv" Blu-rays. Even though it was on the lists as being accepted.

just got an email from Walmart with a complimentary $10 vudu code for me to "try Vudu". Uh, thanks, my 1000 vudu movies and I appreciated it and will definitely "try" this Vudu thing!

Another rejection for "African Queen" one disc version.

This disc 'The African Queen [Commemorative Box Set] [DVD/CD] [With Book] [Blu-ray] - BLURAY - 1952' is not eligible for Disc to Digital conversion.

Are they the rereleased versions by Warner? I've noticed that the Paramount blu-rays that were rereleased by Warner are not recognized by Vudu for some reason. But if I get the old paramount blu-ray version, it works.

Paramount version doesn't work, that's what I have. But it's been a while since I tried it, so that may have changed.

anyone know if the Star Trek movies from the sets work? or Superman anthology? wanted to pop those bad boys in tomorrow or something...

Superman should work. Forgot to do that one actually. However mine's the UK set. But, a long time ago I popped in the UK set of the Bourne movies and they worked. So I guess maybe some Region free UK stuff works. But the Hong Kong releases don't, and those are Region A.

If people are going to start posting discs that don't work, then it's a good idea to move the discussion to another thread. There's 1000's of discs that don't work with the D2D software. And this thread will get filled up really quick.

Or better yet, post them over in the Vudu Forum instead. They have a thread with 1200+ posts listing the titles that don't work.
