I just got my code, and all I did was D2D, so I guess that worked.

Nothing yet from VUDU for my $10 code yet. I will wait till 1/11 before assuming it is lost just like the rental code email that was never received.

$4.99 winter weekend deals: https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...nd-Deals/12771

Some good MST3K titles in there, which I've never seen go on sale at Vudu. Looks like I might be upgrading Animal House to UHD.

I never got the Black Friday rental code. I didn't bother with this promotion.

I turned in a support request to which there was no response post the auto reply. I posted in the VUDU forum to absolute zero VUDU response yet many others in the same situation.

It will likely be the same for the $10 back on $40 promotion. Something changed for the worse when Fandango merged VUDU & FN together. At first it was just lost content (NLA or lower resolution or inferior version, etc). And now it is with their support system and honoring of promotions.

This doesn't bode well for the digital rights landscape for sure.

The lack of support or communication. Meaning if there's issues in the future (any issue) we will not be able to get the support or our due.

Customer support should be better. As more and more digital providers disappear, there will be less and less competition in which case the monopolies left behind have less and less incentive to support customers.

And in this case, it's been 3x $8 rental codes and a $10 credit which is $34 unavailable.

re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

Is it just me or is it ever since Fandango took over Vudu, the "Deals of the Week" have pretty much been the same rotation of films/bundles over and over again? This may have been brought up last year at some point. I'm talking catalog stuff - obviously there's newer releases slipping into that rotation every month.

Isn’t the Deals of the Week supposed to be only during the summer for the most part? Or is it the other way around?

Those deals seem to me to have been catalog title repeats for a couple of years.

I think $4.99 deals of the week used to be a summer thing, but they opened it back up for horror stuff in October, and now “winter.”

I mentioned recently how the same titles constantly rotate through. It’s like studios have given carte blanche to include The Imitation Game and Smokey and the Bandit in any sale at anytime. Anything “new” is eye-catching and exciting.

Mix and match bundle sale with 2 bundles for $14.99. Thought there was a lot of good things to choose from.

Yeah, there's some good stuff there. I'll have to wait until I get home from work, but I'll probably be buying at least a couple of those deals.

Yeah, I think their last bundle mix-and-match was two-packs, but this has larger combos. Now to figure out what overlaps with what I already have.

The one bundle that has Clueless, Mean Girls, She's All That and She's The Man is a heck of a deal for essentially $7.50. Too bad I already own the two best ones already.

And I have a lot of these movies from those old Wal-Mart DVDs with free VUDU codes from a few years ago.

Also having an AMC sale this week. While I'm ambivalent about a lot of those show, all four seasons of Halt and Catch Fire were $5 each so I picked those up.

I have never seen that one but heard it was good. Might check it out as these are only on a streaming service I would never subscribe to.
Also thinking about Creepshow but strangely the Bundle & Save S 1&2 bundle is $2 more than buying them separately

It's terrific. It starts a little wobbly (but never bad) as the show attempts to build a mystery around Lee Pace's lead character, but once they more or less drop that and concentrate more on the female characters it really takes off. It's easily one of my favorite shows of the last decade.
