Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Anyone buy Solo on Vudu?

There is an extra feature that just says "Documentaries". I'm wondering if that are a bunch of the short ones that is on the bluray release or what?

Usually they are broken up on Vudu, but this is just one feature saying the aforementioned. Thus, my confusion.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nobody knows dude.

How long is the "Documentaries" featurette on Vudu? Did you watch it? Do any parts of it seem to match these descriptions of the Blu-ray features?
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Solo-...205706/#Review

  • Solo: The Director & Cast Roundtable (1080p, 21:44): Ron Howard moderates a collection of the film's key talent: Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Joonas Suotamo, Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, and Paul Bettany. They discuss landing their roles, auditions, crafting various scenes, character relationships and backstories, anecdotes, work on the set and a George Lucas visit, inspirations, and more. There's a good bit of camaraderie and humor throughout.
  • Kasdan on Kasdan (1080p, 7:50): Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jonathan discuss life with the franchise, working together on the film, and Lawrence's love for the Han Solo character.
  • Remaking the Millennium Falcon (1080p, 5:36): The ship's importance in the film and within the Star Wars universe and imagining the ship as a relatively brand-new vessel, inside and out with particular attention paid to Lando's influence on its design.
  • Escape from Corellia (1080p, 9:59): A discussion of the movie's timeline and how Solo fits into the world. It largely focuses on making the "car chase" scene from the movie's opening minutes, including geography, vehicle design, digital effects, sounds, and more.
  • The Train Heist (1080p, 14:30): Much like the previous supplement, this is a detailed breakdown of one of the film's largest action pieces: train design and inspirations, the importance of physical models, digital effects, sequence complexity, shooting locations, building the Rio character, and more.
  • Team Chewie (1080p, 6:41): A look at how the film introduces and builds the Han Solo-Chewbacca story, including both the emotional connection they share and the physical requirements of various scenes.
  • Becoming a Droid: L3-37 (1080p, 5:06): An exploration of the character, Phoebe Waller-Bridge's performance, and the practical and digital effects that bring her to life.
  • Scoundrels, Droids, Creatures and Cards: Welcome to Fort Ypso (1080p, 8:02): A detailed examination of one of the film's key set pieces and the story elements that emerge from the time spent there. There's also an interesting look at the card game invented for the film and the alien characters who sit around the table and mingle in the background.
  • Into the Maelstrom: The Kessel Run (1080p, 8:28): A fascinating look at high quality on-set visuals, piloting the ship in the scene, sound effects, digital effects, and more.
  • Deleted Scenes (1080p, 15:13 total runtime): Included are Proxima's Den, Corellian Foot Chase, Han Solo: Imperial Cadet, The Battle of Mimban: Extended, Han Versus Chewie: Extended, Snowball Fight!, Meet Dryden: Extended, and Coaxium Double-Cross.

The total for all the mini documentaries was an 1:27. It seemed like it was all the shorter ones put together as one

Seems like forever that I've been considering the Star Trek 10-pack for 50 bucks, and $35 is tempting. I know it doesn't have the director's cut of II, but I don't think that's anywhere on digital.

Vudu has the Director's Cut for Star Trek 2 & 6. Unfortunately, the 10-Movie Bundle just has the original theatrical cuts.

I bit on that, $3.50 each was good enough for me.

I bit too. Now I can stop looking at it in every bundle sale. :)

Seriously. I have the three new movies on Xbox, and it's annoying not to have them all together.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Walmart is making changes to their Savings Catcher program again. Too bad. I was getting $15-$20 back on my Walmart Gift Card every month. And it would automatically be used on my Vudu purchases. Now you have to use Walmart Pay. I don't know if you can use that with Vudu.

On October 29, 2018, our Terms of Use for Savings Catcher will be changing, and Walmart Pay will be the exclusive way to submit your receipt to Savings Catcher. This will allow you to both submit and spend your Savings Catcher rewards within the same Walmart Pay experience. Due to this change, the ability to scan paper receipts within the app or submit via desktop will be discontinued.

How Savings Catcher Will Work

Rather than scanning paper receipts using the Savings Catcher scanner after paying, you’ll simply create an eReceipt using the Walmart Pay scanner when paying. Here’s how:

1. Enroll in Walmart Pay

2. Use Walmart Pay at checkout to create an eReceipt for submission. This can be done by:

3. Opening Walmart Pay and selecting which credit, debit, or gift card you’d like to use.

4. Using Walmart Pay to scan the QR code at the register to generate your eReceipt.

5. Tap "Submit Receipt" directly from your Walmart Pay confirmation page or from your Savings Catcher dashboard on the Walmart app

Benefits of using Walmart Pay

1. One touch submissions: Submit your eReceipt before even leaving the store

2. Save time and space: Never worry about leaving your wallet or purse at home by turning your phone into your secure mobile wallet

3. Store your purchase history: Find your past purchases in your Purchase History, easily reorder your essentials, or start a Mobile Express Return—all in the app!

4. Print eReceipts for cash back apps: Select a purchase from your Purchase History, share and print from your phone or email yourself your eReceipt

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I likely won’t be doing that.
Walmart pay doesn’t generate a paper receipt and we use all paper receipts to scan into other apps like receipt hog.

Can’t imagine how one gets back up to $20 month using savings catcher.

Yep. Also, one thing I recently discovered (maybe it's been available for a long time and I just missed it, but on the off chance others weren't aware of this) is that you can filter for free movies in search, rather than just browsing their Movies On Us pages that list the movies available. Makes it a lot easier to find a movie I want to see.

For the Movies on Us promotion, from the link, looks like 1 per day.

From now until 9/30/18, we’re giving you a free $1 movie credit every time you watch a movie with Movies On Us, up to $1 per day, $5 total per account.
Here are some short ones I found:

Yes, Virginia - 25m
The Bear Who Slept through Christmas - 26m
Witchs Night Out - 26m
The Snowman - 27m
The Eighty Six - 41m
Louie Anderson: Big Baby Boomer - 44m
Corey Holcomb Live in Concert - 48m
We Wish You a Merry Christmas - 48m

Lego City episodes are about 5 minutes each. And those usually qualify for the Movies On Us promos:
