Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

It's $15.99 for me with UHD access. Yes, I know that's a lot more expensive than most streaming services. But, I still get a lot of value out of it. And there's always something new coming out every week, whether it's catalog content or a new Netflix original.

I know the amount of new Netflix content is sometimes overwhelming and it may be hard to keep up with it all.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

If there's no legacy price for a few months, and I pay the same whether I keep subscribing or resub down the line, maybe I drop it for a few months and pick it up again later. That's what I should be doing with all these streaming services (at least the ones that don't offer incentives to stay subscribed) anyway.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Personally, I would rather Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime survive. And all of these à la carte services go away. So I will continue to support. But I have also thought I should cancel from time to time. Netflix is normally my least watched platform. But it varies depending on what else is on/out. And with new TV shows being scarce I've been watching more movies.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

I cancelled Netflix months ago, as it was my least watched platform and found I will go weeks without watching anything on it. I will subscribe again when there is something that I really want to see, and will binge for a couple months to catch up on some stuff that I have a bit of interest in. I haven't seemed to miss it in the slightest. I'll be back when Cobra Kai season 3 releases for sure though.

The CBS show Evil and The Unicorn are now on Netflix as of today not just CBS All-Access

Evil is a serialized supernatural thriller (not a cop or doctor show) and Unicorn is a single camera comedy with Walton Goggins.

CBS basically sold the rights for 1 year to get some extra eyes on them.

Unicorn is a good watch if you enjoy family sitcoms. Great cast.

Having just finished Justified, a single camera comedy is a jarring departure from Boyd Crowder. Although, there were certainly some funny parts in Justified!

I really liked The Unicorn.

Hah, yeah, Netflix is mutually advantageous to a lot of shows/networks but they all decided to stick to their own platforms for a while there.

Here’s the trailer for The Unicorn. It actually locally for you on Global. So it might not be on Netflix Canada.

Somebody mentioned that TikTok's top brass is screwed if that's what passes for lewd.

Best Buy current sale - purchase $100 Netflix (or Hulu) digital gift card, get a $10 Best Buy digital gift card free.

Not sure when sale expires, but saw on Slickdeals. I got the Hulu gift card, which I will use quickly due to Hulu Live pricing.

It didn't seem that long ago that Netflix streamed a porn movie "9 Songs". Have no idea how that got on their platform.

It had some hardcore scenes but I wouldn't have categorized it as porn...unless you're one of those sensitive people.

okay, it was arthouse I guess, but it was definitely pornographic, not like Skinimax stuff, this included a full length BJ scene with completion along with graphic sex.

Definition of porn is probably subjective.
I didn’t think 9songs was porn

There was or is another movie with fully explicit sex called Love I think.

Yes. And didn't they also show Blue is the Warmest Colour?

Yeah, Love had some explicit scenes. Right at the opening scene, in fact.

And don't forget the Von Trier trilogy (Antichrist, Nymphomanic 1 & 2) Erections, penetrations (Both in intercourse & masturbation) I don't recall "money shots" though
