Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Tried to download a movie on my phone but, of course, not enough internal memory. Trying to find a way to download to my sd card but I doubt there's a way.

i share my netflix password with like 4 different people. netflix doesn't care. it's not that they shouldn't pay, but if they don't have to, why should they?

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Within the last week, I noticed a new "feature" with my PS4 Netflix app that I absolutely despise. Whenever I try to browse titles, music and video automatically start playing if I stop over any title for more than a few seconds. Apparently this was introduced because an exec thought it would be cool if Netflix tried to emulate the "channel surfing" experience while navigating titles.
I suppose I can see how some might like this, but to me it's incredibly distracting and annoying. And looking at recent comments in the Reddit Netflix area, I'm not the only one who is responding this way. How hard would it be for Netflix to at least give customers the choice whether they want to experience these "enhancements" or not? |

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
It's been a normal "feature" for a long time now

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Well, they're rolling it for the first time this week to a number of people since it definitely just started for me very recently (and others in the Reddit thread).

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Netflix is putting too many original on already. Can't keep up watching them all.
|
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
The new thing they'll be doing soon is a short trailer-ish blend of scenes to give you a understanding of each movie or show when you select it. It'll take the pace of that still image it currently shows when your selector moves onto a show.
My friend was on that team. Everything had to be watched, cut-up and analyzed. I suspect it was hell considering how much total shit is on Netflix. |
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
I don't overly mind the movies that have a simple trailer that plays once and then stops. I don't like the ones that continually play over and over. I do think it will be useful to find something to watch beyond the shitty little synopsis.

I've been using more Amazon prime TV to be honest, it seems to me they have a lot TV shows from other sources that I still have to watch. |
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
What is up with the Netflix recently watchlist? I had so many in there, some were very recent. Only 2 old shows pop up. I even started two movies and they don't show up either. Anyone know what's up? Thanks in advance.

Call them.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
I don't have a "recently watchlist." I have a "Watch it again" and "My List." And there's my "Viewing Activity" in my Account area.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Where's viewing activity?
I called and they were no help... |

Netflix Replacing Star Ratings With Thumbs Ups and Thumbs Downs

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
I thought the Ebert estate owned that.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
This actually blows. I don't think these thumbs have a lot to say at all about what people feel. Stars are at least more indicative depending on the number. Blows...

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
This stinks. I don't like it on Pandora either. I like Stand Up Comedy, but I don't like all Stand Up Comedians so is that Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down?

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Netflix is testing a button that lets you skip the opening credits on some television shows, the company said. This week some Twitter users spotted a “skip intro” button that appears when you hover over the title sequence for shows including Netflix originals House of Cards and Iron Fist, and Mad Men and The Office (third-party shows). The button works both with shows that begin with the title sequence and those that include one after a cold open. The first mention of the button we could find is in a Reddit post from 22 days ago. So far, the button has only been spotted on the web. Rolling it out more broadly would require app updates on the many platforms where Netflix is available. “We perform hundreds of tests every year to help make the Netflix member experience better,” a spokeswoman told The Verge. Skipping the opening credits is a long-standing request of many Netflix users, who are prone to binge-watching shows and would rather not watch the House of Cards smooth jazz time lapse eight times in a single day. And if episodes are auto-playing for you, in many cases the opening sequence will be skipped automatically. The skip intro button is now live. |
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
What the fuck Netflix? I'm watching Poirot, and you just decide to take down half of the first seasons that I was in the middle of? Gee, thanks.
