Re: The OFFICIAL Noteworthy New Arrivals to Netflix Thread

My niece is going to be a wreck if they lose this show. I think Pony's and Frozen are the only things she watches. I don't want to pay $45/season at Amazon.

My Little Pony remains on Netflix, for now

Good news for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fans: The cult show remains on Netflix for at least another three weeks, despite the fact that the original contract between Pony franchise owner Hasbro and Netflix reportedly expired earlier this month.

In January, Netflix told its viewers that it would have to remove the show on February 2. That deadline passed, and Netflix updated its website with a notice that the show would disappear on February 17. However, this week, My Little Pony, as well as other Hasbro shows including Pound Puppies, Littlest Pet Shop, Transformers Rescue Bots and Transformers Prime are still available for streaming, now sporting a March 16 removal notice.

So what’s really going on here? Spokespeople for Hasbro and Netflix didn’t respond to a request for comment when I contacted them for this story, but it looks as if both companies are still negotiating to strike a new deal, with Hasbro shows remaining on Netflix while talks are underway. Back in January, a Hasbro spokesperson told me that the company was “extremely hopeful” that it would be able to strike a new agreement with Netflix.

This means that with a little bit of luck, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic could remain on Netflix even after March 16. But it probably doesn’t hurt to start binge-watching anyway.

Not surprised since it's available in other Netflix regions. I'm also hoping that we get Elementary soon since it's also available in other Netflix regions.

Netflix Norway has the new episode on Tuesday, the day after it airs in the US. Norway also now has the first five seasons of Modern Family.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is pretty great for those that haven't seen it yet.

Just a reminder that their new show Bloodline (with Kyle Chandler and Sissy Spacek) is getting released on March 20th. And Force Majeure is now available to stream.

She's kinda like the female version of Chris Pratt's character on Parks and Rec. I've been watching it, Im about 10 episodes in. Funny/weird enough to make me watch the entire season. Lots of 90s references that a lot of people might not pick up on. The episode I watched last night(#10) Dong was dressed like Kris Kross which you could only see as he was walking out for a brief couple seconds.

Rectify S2 was added to Netflix over the weekend. Looking forward to watching that.

And Netflix are taking down JLU and Batman Beyond. Cocksucking rectum of hell. Between it and AIV, I do dally had the whole DCAU on streaming, and now they take it away? FML. First world problems.

Just The Babadook. Though I hear Starry Eyes is pretty good and Noah was passable. Of course there's Hot Fuzz and Bound (because Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly dyking out is timeless) as well but they're older.

Thanks, I didn't like Shaun of the dead or most english comedies so I'll probably skip hot fuzz. Babadook I missed and will give a shot, the others I might add to my list. Surprised at the score for Bound, never heard of it.

Bound, stylistically, is very obviously the Wachowskis. You can see quite a few things that they carried over to The Matrix.

Plus it's probably still their best overall movie, but I was never a huge Matrix fan.

My wifi is a lot better than it used to be, but it's still wonky from time to time. I prefer Redbox's actual discs when I can get them. Plus I'd like to support physical media as long as I can.
