School me on streaming music to my 360

Not sure if this should be in this forum since it's a 360, or the new streaming forum.

What exactly is the process for doing this? I remember in the 360's early days they had a really clunky interface for streaming music from your PC to your 360, and it didn't work too well/was hard to navigate. Has anything changed? How would I go about doing this? How well does it work?

Re: School me on streaming music to my 360

Getting Windows Media Center to work took me literally years. I would mess with it one night and then give up and be so pissed off I wouldn't try it again for 4-6 months. Certain parts of the process would work and others failed miserably. I had tried it with different computers and different routers here and there. Then I bought the cheapest damn wireless router I could find and suddenly it all worked. I wish you the best....you might need it.

Are there software options that aren't Windows Media Center? Or is it pretty much stuck with that?

You can also download the Zune program here:
http://www.zune.net/en-US/products/s...ad/default.htm

and add all the media that you want to "share" with your xbox in it.

Then go into the settings on the program and select your xbox (there's a specific tab that says xbox 360).
Select in there what you want to share. Then go to your xbox and make sure that it recognizes your computer, and you'll be off and running.

You don't have to have the program running on your computer while you are streaming, but you do need to have your computer on.
