Not for me, i spoke to CS on live chat, it is being removed for everyone, at least on the website, you are not going to be happy, it is horrible, you can no longer arange the titles the way you want, you have to scroll through the box art from left to right and very slowly.

Same old queue for me on the PC, but that sounds like how it is on my PS3.

It is going away for everyone eventually , no more individual page where you can view your queue and arrange titles, and scrolling through the titles is slow

There are some concerns that Netflix is taking on alot of debt to help pay for programming.

I can't see this keeping the $8/month streaming price too much longer. It sounds like they aren't making any money.

They would have been fine if they didn't screw with the previous options. I would be willing to pay $10.95 but if they want to raise it higher then goodbye. I simply don't use it enough to pay more for it.

Yea I hate how it is on the PS3...if they do this to the PC they really are tring to kill off their Customer base; who is making these decisions? I will not like that one bit...and would be tempted to drop them.

I wonder if the fact that I still have the disc service makes a difference. Like, I need the My Queue tab to handle my disc queue, so it allows me to still manage my instant queue as well.

I guess we'll find out but that seems insane to me. I'd really be surprised if it happens, no matter what a CS rep says.

I asked on the netflix facebook help page and was told the same thing about the Queue. It is a test thing for some people right now. I threatened to cancel if it stays this way . Idon't have alot of confidence in the people making decisions there, they have totally destroyed that website

Agreed. Every time they screw with the interface, they make it worse. And it doesn't seem like they give a damn about what the customer wants.

Some good documentaries that I've watched recently:

Whores Glory
Monica and David
Undefeated

Whores Glory was great. Loved the Bangkok segment.

I forget where the second location was, but it made me sad.

The segment in Mexico was crazy. Warning to others: it pretty much becomes porn towards the end.

Bangladesh

Yeah the Mexico segment pretty much becomes a porn.

Mexican whores in that region are nasty.

At least the Thai "massage" girls are kind of hot.

Watched one called Lunopolis. Low budget but pretty well executed. Faux documentary type conspiracy/ time travel tale. Some rough spots but overall I enjoyed it.

Lay The Favorite - directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, Dirty Pretty Things, High Fidelity), starring Rebecca Hall, Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Vince Vaughn and Joshua Jackson.

Yeah this movie should have been way more memorable with this cast and this director. As it stands it's a non-offensive, very basic story that didn't need to be told. It isn't particularly funny, or exciting, or interesting but it's also not boring and is a perfectly watchable Sunday afternoon time killer.

It's just amazing that a forgettable story about a former Florida exotic dancer (Hall) learning to gamble from a mentor (Willis) drew so much talent. Part of the appeal had to be with the real Beth Raymer (the lead character in the movie) writing the screenplay, adapted from her own memoir. 2.5 out of 5.

ParaNorman ( link ) is streamable now. It's a stop-motion animated movie from the studio that made "Coraline"

A very fresh rating at RT:

.

The Cabin in the Woods ( link ) is streamable now.

"In this surprising spin on a classic horror setup, five friends arrive at a secluded cabin with clear instructions for their anticipated mountain getaway. But when the rigid rules are broken, punishment is swift - and everyone will pay."

What to Watch on Netflix

Re: NetFlix "Watch Now / Watch Instantly" - Recommendations Thread

There are three computer animated movies that I don't think I would have been able to hear about outside of Netflix.

"A Monster in Paris"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0961097/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

"Tad, the Lost Explorer"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1764625/

"Starship Troopers: Invasion"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2085930/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_6

All three movies are on Netflix with voice acting in english.

A Monster in Paris I enjoyed for the high quality of animation, writing, and voice acting.

Tad the Lost Explorer had a story that was kinda predictable, but the design of the characters reminded me in a good way of Aardman stop motion animation. And the look of the animation was very pleasing.

Starship Troopers: Invasion had generally both poor writing and poor voice acting. But the realism of the animation was an evolution of but comparable to the look of the Final Fantasy: Spirits Within movie. Plus, the story continues about the main characters Carmen Ibanez , Johnny Rico , and Carl Jenkins. So, for those last two reasons I still enjoyed the movie.

hanshotfirst1138 03-24-14 11:26 PM

ST:I was mostly a disappointment, but some of the action sequences and a few design elements were kind of interesting.

So they still have their live chat? Last time I checked their website, there didn't appear to be any contact method except for the phone number.

This is actually one of the best, non-Pixar CGI films made in the last decade. A shame it didn't have more promotion behind it.
