Watched The Double Hour the other day and thought it was pretty good. It's a somewhat slow moving drama/thriller that is typical in Europe. Pretty interesting structure in the film. It might frustrate some people though.

The male star in the film looks a lot like Javier Bardem.

I find Attenborough's voice very pleasing to fall asleep to, and there's a number of nature docs up there with him narrating. Not enough, though. Not enough.

Drive (2011), starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, is now on Watch Instantly.

(I'm really happy to see this one show up as streamable because it's one of my personal favorites from 2011.)

Thief (1981), starring James Caan and directed by Michael Mann, is on Watch Instantly.

This is a great film, so nice to see it show up on streaming.

(And it also has a great soundtrack by Tangerine Dream)

Doubtful...it's not even on DVD/Blu-ray yet. I wouldn't expect it until after Season 3 was underway, if even then.

Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles was just added.

It's a very interesting documentary about mysterious tiles found on the streets of Philadelphia all the way up to South America.

Battle Royale is on streaming now (aka the movie that one could say "The Hunger Games" ripped off).

(and even Battle Royale 2 is streamable, the sequel that most fans of the original hate. Might need to check it out now to see if I agree.)

The running time indicates that this the Special Edition cut of the film, which most agree isn't as good as the original theatrical cut of the film.

Thor, the Marvel superhero movie that basically sets up the main villain Loki in "The Avengers", is streamable now.

(And it sets up the backstory one of the superheroes too, of course)

I watched about half of Battle Royale the other day, pretty sure it is the Special Cut, the audio also seemed out of sync. I own the import limited edition blu-ray set but still haven't cracked that sucker open.
