I saw the post about taking CH dvd's to Wal-Mart in order to get new released dvds.

I'm not trying that, BUT:

2 dvds I got from CH are seriously ruined!!
1) T2 UE: Half the letters off the side of the dvd tin are missing, WTF????
2) My Pretty Woman dvd from the .89 ch club is out of the case holder! ....this thing is so noisy when shook up and down. I know it's not a booklet or anything of that sort, because you can feel the disc beating as it's shaken!

So, I am wondering can I go to Wal-Mart and exchange these 2 dvds for the exact same? I would probably just tell them that they were gifts.....

Anyone done this or had this problem?
I'm giving the dvds to my brother this weekend when I go down and visit him....otherwise I would just get replacements from ch

BTW>>>>Both dvds are sealed!!

Thanks!!

Why not just send them back to CH for replacement?

I agree with renaldow. Exchanging them at walmart would be a bit unethical.

If you got an order from Columbia House chances are that you have other DVDs to watch this weekend, watch those.

Take the T2 and Pretty Woman DVDs, show him, maybe print missing from the side of the tin isn't a big deal to him, and the Pretty Woman DVD is probably still good and maybe he will take the chance that it is good. If he wants them replaced then send them back to Columbia House.

[soapbox]Some people just don't comprehend that the reason some things are "cheap" is because the more expensive ones have other advantages, like being able to look at your item before leaving the store.

So, now you use the time of Walmart/Suncoast Customer Service, restocking, etc., just so you could save a couple bucks on a CH DVD.[/soapbox]

Hate to tell you, folks. But all these people joining CH don't get 15 copies of GLADIATOR for trading. This scam will continue to grow, especially since Walmart allows returns without a receipt.
