I called Circuit City on my $20 rebate for Terk TV antenna, and they could not find information in system...Sorry we have no record. Did you send via registered mail..Of course not..I tried talking to manager, no help...I told the manager I guess I will return the item back to the store? Anyone have this issue with CC? Any other ideas how to get rebate?

I was supposed to get $20 from a mail in rebate on my DVD Player. Well, it's been 6+ months with nothing. The Manager at the store I purchased it from says he can't do anything, so I am out $20. What can ya' do? Drop back 10 and punt.

This is why you should always photocopy everything before you send it off (completed rebate coupon, receipts, UPC codes, etc).
The problem with returning the item to the store is that you most likely had to send in the UPC code, the store will not take back a box with the UPC code missing.

I just screwed myself out of $20 because Symantec claims they didn't receive all of the required items for the rebate. The cust. service lady asked if I made copies, and I said no I didn't, and she basically said i was up Sheeat creek. I asked if the copies would be acceptable for this rebate, and she dropped this bombshell:Photocopies are not allowed!
She did correct herself but I was just freakin' at that point....

I've been waiting for a rebate from them since December. I kept copies of everything, and called in. The phone operator said she'd resubmit, but still no check. I guess they screwed alot of people over this year, but as far as I am concerned, I will never purchase from CC again. No trust, no sale.

Bearasleep, you can always contact your local State's attorney's office, consumer fraud division and tell them your story (being sure to note that you have photocopies), see what they say and get their mailing adderss. If they sound like you have a case, mail them your story and cc Circuit City headquarters.
The problem is that you do not have proof that you mailed the item in time, they could say that yes, you have photocopies of everything, but you made them after the submission deadline.
After reading these threads, in the future, if the rebate is more than a few bucks, I will be spending $0.50 to put delivery confirmation on the delivery (as well as photocopying the materials).
Bearasleep, I think you are out the $20.
