go to http://www.goldfishlegs.com
they break down which e-tailers are good for canadian buyers and also break down which canadian based retailers are worth checking out.
They also have coupons and posted deals and such.
personally, i order my Hong Kong dvds from hivizone.com, and the rest from whatever place has the best free coupon on the go. I have used BN.com, amazon, and bigstar.com. With the coupons and exchange its only about the same as going to your local futureshop and buying it. But if your like me and want hard to find titles it may be your only choice.
If you want Canadian based retailers, Chapters is ok, unleess the dvd is special order in which case it may take monthes before its shipped. HMV has limited selection, but are usually reliable. I have also ordered from this place called movie-madness.com. They have decent selection and ok prices. There is also absound.ca, samtherecordman.com, and thunderdvd.com which are all canadian based. Never ordered from there....
best of luck dude,
Jas
