DVD deals at the Navy Exchange

I've noticed no one has never mentioned this, but the Navy Exchange, any military people out there will know what I'm talking about, has greats deals on DVDs and pretty much everything else. They have all the mainstream DVDs, i.e. X-Men, Gladiator, Chicken Run, etc, and best of all everything is tax-free, and they will price match any local B&M competitor as long as you have an ad. The only catch is to make a purchase you must show a military ID card

The NEX price matches? Whoa, sweet... I had no idea. I don't think I've ever bought DVDs there, but I may have to start. Thanks for the info!

Guess I'll have to beg my sister-in-law to get me a few. We don't get along but I'm willing to put aside our differences for some good deals.

She's bought me a few DVDs from there in the past but they were all pretty crappy. Old Jackie Chan flicks, some odd animations shorts and The Swiss Conspiracy. Hopefully these deals are really good so I can get some more mainstream stuff.

I've been in the army, navy and air force exchanges and have never seen a good deal on DVD's. Didn't know they price matched... That's the only way to get a good deal there.

You're right. I've never seen a good deal on DVDs at the base exchange. Whatever happened to them putting CDs and videos on sale like they used to? You could pick up new CD releases for about $9.99 with no tax added. Right around the time DVDs showed up, this seems to have ended. Bummer.

AAFES in California SUCKS! Always full retail, never a break or on-sale. I've never bought a DVD from them in the 6 years I've been here.
